Argentina Away Jersey: Selected Designs from Blue to 2026

An Argentina away jersey is a design choice separate from the familiar sky-blue-and-white home stripes. Selected blue historical references and the dark graphic 2026 release show how that alternate direction can change. “Away” does not mean the team wears it in every match abroad.

The 1986 blue reference

Sotheby’s catalogue of Maradona’s 1986 shirt documents a specific blue garment associated with the England quarter-final. Its ownership and photographic-matching record belongs to that object, not to every blue Argentina shirt offered today.

If that match is the memory you want, distinguish the blue design from the striped home shirt. A current number 10 tribute needs its own item information; it should not be presented as a period original or match-worn object solely because it recalls the design.

Another blue-era catalogue example

The current Argentina 2006 away listing gives a separate blue design to compare. Read the stated year and gallery rather than assuming the 1986 and 2006 shirts share a collar, crest or number treatment.

Its darker base offers a different visual choice from the home stripes. That does not make it rarer, establish how often the team wore it, or prove that any named configuration was used in a particular fixture.

The 2026 darker graphic reference

The adidas away-design announcement describes a black base and swirling blue graphics for Argentina. The current gallery below is the store’s item reference; the manufacturer’s release is the source for its own design explanation.

Choose the repeated graphic if that is what you like, or an earlier simpler blue design if you prefer it. Neither preference establishes collectibility, future value or manufacturing quality.

Blank back or player name?

Read the back photograph and printing controls together. A Messi name in a search result does not prove that every away shirt has a nameset included. For a historical print, identify the competition and year before confirming text and digits.

Compare the chosen item’s measurements with a shirt you own and review the return policy before selecting a size, name, number or patch. No universal era-correct-font or wash-resistance claim is established here.

Keep this away-design task distinct

Use the Argentina 2026 buying comparison for adult, kids, long-sleeve and set formats. The Argentina catalogue is the current listing reference when you have decided which design to inspect.

This page covers selected away references, rather than every Argentina alternate shirt or a measurement of which one is most popular.
