For a Maradona Argentina jersey, identify the tournament and home or away design before choosing number 10. The striped home look and the blue shirt associated with the 1986 England quarter-final are different references. A current shirt recalling either design is a separate object from an original or match-worn garment.
1986: the home stripes and the blue quarter-final shirt
Sotheby’s record of the blue 1986 shirt identifies the specific garment associated with Maradona’s goals against England. Its account explains provenance and photographic matching for that object. The blue design, rather than the striped home shirt, is the reference for that quarter-final.
Keep the design’s history separate from a current product. A number 10 on a blue shirt does not make it the auctioned object, establish match use or prove that its material and decoration reproduce the original construction.
For the striped home look, compare the actual year, collar, crest and back image shown by the seller. Verify star and badge treatment against a dated reference: a later reproduction can include details that were not present on the particular period shirt you mean.
Later tournament designs need their own reference

A listing recalling 1994 should be checked as a 1994 design, rather than receiving a generic 1986 number or badge description. Similar national colours do not make the shirts identical. Compare the photographed front, collar, pattern and back with a reliable dated image for the tournament you want to remember.
This guide does not prescribe one embroidered crest, fabric weight or number font for all Maradona-era shirts. Nor does it claim that a seller’s current printing is officially licensed or matches every original tournament specification.
Original, later reissue or modern tribute?
For an original period garment, ask for label photographs, condition notes and a documented manufacture period. A match-worn or player-issued claim needs an ownership and match reference beyond the visible design.
For a modern reissue or tribute, read what the seller identifies about the newly made item. Its old season label describes the design being recalled, not necessarily when it was made. Our original-vintage and remake comparison explains the purchase distinction without fixed values or durability guarantees.
Check a number 10 listing before ordering
Choose the shirt design first, then read the photographed back and selected printing together. Confirm the exact spelling, digits, size and any patch. A name-and-number option does not establish that Maradona wore that specific combination in a match.
Compare measurements with a shirt that fits, rather than assuming every older-looking shirt is baggy or every new reproduction needs a size change. If a measurement or print detail is unclear, ask before customization.
A wearable tribute has different evidence from a historic object
Flux Jersey’s retro catalogue shows current items and options. The catalogue image above illustrates listed designs; they are not photographs proving the provenance of Maradona’s original shirts.
Use the selected listing and checkout for current charges and the return policy for size and customization conditions. Wear or collect the design that matters to you, with a clear understanding of the particular garment being offered.
